These terms apply to Appfluence mobile apps and related services that link to them (the “Services”). Your agreement is with Jason Mayo trading as Appfluence, a sole proprietor based at 15 Alexander Drive, Winston Park, South Africa (“Appfluence”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at jason@tryonething.app.
Please read these terms before using the Services. By using a Service after being given an opportunity to review these terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use that Service. Nothing here removes rights that consumer law gives you.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 to use the Services, or meet any higher age requirement stated for a particular app. If you are under 18 or otherwise unable to enter this agreement on your own, a parent, guardian or other legally competent person must authorise your use and agree on your behalf where this is permitted by law. Purchases require the authorisation of the person responsible for the payment account.
Some apps may offer an account. Where one is offered, provide accurate information, protect your sign-in details and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise, but this does not make you responsible for losses caused by our failure to meet our legal obligations. Lumi currently operates without an Appfluence account.
2. Using the Services
The features available in each app are described in its store listing and within the app. Features may require a compatible device, current operating system, internet access or particular permissions. Some features are free and others require a purchase.
Use features safely and keep your own copies of information that matters to you where the app supports doing so. Apps that store content only on your device may lose it if you remove the app, reset or lose the device, or delete the content. Any available backup depends on the applicable device and backup settings.
Our Privacy Policy explains personal-information handling. Enabling a device permission or using a feature does not give us permission for unrelated uses of your data.
3. Subscriptions, free trials and payments
Check the purchase screen. It states the price, currency, billing period, included features, any introductory offer and the amount due when an offer ends. Offers, taxes and availability can vary by app, location and eligibility. These shared terms do not set one price or trial length for every Appfluence app.
Payment. Purchases made through Apple are charged through your Apple account. The store’s billing terms and the details you confirm at checkout apply. Appfluence does not collect your full payment-card credentials for these purchases.
Automatic renewal. A recurring subscription renews for the period shown at purchase unless cancelled. To avoid another charge, cancel in the relevant store’s subscription settings before the renewal deadline. For Apple trials and subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the current trial or billing period ends.
Trials. A free trial is available only when expressly offered and when the store considers you eligible. If you do not cancel in time, it converts to the paid subscription and price displayed when you accepted it. A plan without a trial is charged as shown at checkout. Cancelling a trial may end trial access immediately, according to the store’s rules.
Cancellation. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions and select the app. See Apple’s cancellation instructions. Deleting the app or your data, stopping use, or contacting support does not itself cancel the subscription. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal; the store displays when access ends.
Restoration. Use the app’s Restore Purchases option, where available, with the same store account used to purchase. Availability across devices and family members depends on the particular product and store settings. A subscription to one app does not include other Appfluence apps unless the offer explicitly says so.
Refunds. Refund eligibility depends on applicable consumer law and the store’s rules. For an Apple purchase, use Apple’s refund process. Nothing in these terms makes a purchase non-refundable where the law gives you a refund or cancellation right.
Price or plan changes. Changes apply prospectively and are subject to the store’s notice and consent requirements and applicable law. You can cancel future renewal if you do not wish to continue on the new terms.
Trial or renewal reminders are a convenience and depend on device settings and delivery. Check the renewal date in your store account; a missing reminder does not itself cancel a subscription.
4. App licence and intellectual property
Appfluence and its licensors retain ownership of the software, branding and original materials we provide. Your purchase gives you access or a licence to use the relevant features, rather than ownership of the software.
For an app downloaded from Apple, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the app software licence unless the App Store listing provides an applicable custom licence. These terms cover our related Services and purchases and do not override mandatory store rules or consumer protections. The applicable software licence controls a conflict about that licence.
5. Your content
You keep your rights in the photos, text and other materials you provide. You give us permission to process that content only as needed to deliver the feature you request, keep it secure and comply with law, as explained in the Privacy Policy. For example, submitting a photo for an AI check permits the disclosed providers to process it for that check. This permission does not give us a general right to publish your private content or use it in advertising.
Only submit content you have the right to use. If a feature lets you share content with other people, review the intended audience before sharing. Other people may retain copies of content you make available to them.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the Services to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, threaten or exploit people, upload malicious code, bypass access controls or payment requirements, falsify purchases, or disrupt the Services. Do not attempt to extract private information belonging to other users. Restrictions on reverse engineering or interoperability apply only to the extent allowed by law and the relevant software licence.
We may take proportionate steps to investigate misuse, protect users or enforce these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the concern and give you a chance to resolve it.
7. AI, focus and wellbeing features
Unless an app expressly says otherwise, habit, focus, educational, faith and wellbeing features provide general support. They do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, professional counselling or emergency assistance. Seek qualified help for decisions that require professional advice.
AI-generated feedback or checks can be incomplete or wrong. Check information before relying on it. In Lumi, an AI photo check assesses visible activity evidence; it cannot prove who completed an activity or guarantee that a result is correct. You may need to retry an unclear submission.
Screen Time restrictions depend on Apple’s frameworks, device permissions and system behaviour. Lumi is a personal focus aid and is not an emergency or tamper-proof control. Earned minutes, stickers and other in-app rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. We do not promise any particular productivity, health or wellbeing outcome.
8. Availability and service changes
Maintenance, connectivity, device compatibility or third-party interruptions may affect availability. We may make reasonable updates to improve the Services, address security issues or meet legal requirements. We will give notice of material changes where reasonably possible and where required by law.
If we discontinue a paid Service or materially reduce what you have paid for, we will provide the notice, cancellation option and refund or other remedy required by applicable law. This section does not give us a right to remove paid benefits without a remedy where one is legally required.
9. Ending use or restricting access
You can stop using an app whenever you choose. Cancel any recurring subscription separately through the store. Where accounts exist, use the account-deletion option or contact us. Deletion and retention are explained in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict or end access for a serious or repeated breach, a security threat, unlawful conduct, or a legal requirement. We will act reasonably and give notice and an opportunity to address the issue where appropriate; urgent action may be needed to prevent harm. Your statutory rights and any refund rights continue to apply.
10. Our responsibilities
We will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill and meet the obligations imposed by applicable law. We are responsible for losses caused by our breach where the law requires us to be responsible. We do not exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent statements, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
The Services are intended for personal use. To the extent the law permits, we are not responsible for business losses arising from commercial use or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you entered the agreement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free AI results, but these limitations do not remove legal standards that apply to paid digital content or services.
11. Disputes and applicable law
Please contact us if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. You retain all mandatory rights and protections provided by the consumer laws that apply to you. Nothing here requires a consumer to give up a right to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law, or to use mandatory private arbitration.
These terms are governed by South African law. If you are a consumer in another country, this choice does not remove mandatory protections that apply in your country of residence. Any rights you have under South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act or Electronic Communications and Transactions Act remain unaffected where those Acts apply.
If a provision is unenforceable, the other provisions continue to apply where legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. If the business is transferred, your contractual rights and applicable privacy protections must be preserved.
12. Updates and contact
We may revise these terms for changes to the Services, legal requirements or business operations. We will update the effective date and give appropriate advance notice of material changes. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you have already acquired. Where required, we will ask for agreement to the revised terms and provide a way to end the affected Service if you do not agree.
